ABOUT
Born in Georgia, Marissa Sorkin is half-Malaysian and half-caucasian.
Marissa is studying Computer Science as a freshman at Georgia Tech. Marissa is also a co-leader for Women Programming Code, which is a program with a mission to inspire young girls to pursue technology careers.

Two summers ago, Marissa worked at State Farm as a Systems Intern; she appreciates the chance to help program a fraud detecting application that processes big data and learn about the functions of a huge corporation.
