LANIER HACKATHON 2016
The first annual Lanier Hackathon had been sponsored by Statefarm. The Hackathon was a software/app development contest; high school students came together and used whatever tools they could in order to develop a technology solution based on the contest "theme". It lasted over a period of 3 days-- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
My partner and I had won first place and a total of $500!
The theme for the competition had been "RECREATION" and was focused towards app concept presentation. I believe a strong factor towards our win was the fact that the graphics of the app were very clean cut and well-made (thanks to me!). My role in our two-man team was the "idea-organizer" (I created the storyboard for the app) and presentation person (designing app graphics and presenting).
I have made resources to our project available in the collection of files below if you would like to explore our app concept. The app concept was an augmented reality survival game-- like combining Pokemon Go (with using the real world & adding graphics on it) and the Hunger Games (the game concept).
